Essentials for the SLP on the Go
Being on the road is TOUGH!
So you just took a job as a traveling SLP on the road, going from house to house and school to school. You realize pretty soon you are LIVING and WORKING out of your car. As an SLP on the go there are essentials that you will NEED to make your life easier, more organized and comfortable while out and about all day. Below are my essentials that make day to day travel SO much easier.
For the Car
A must have. I have two to fit all of my things
Many people use totes to carry to and from sessions. I prefer these bins, you can fit more and see everything inside
A must have! I love this one because it holds a decent amount and straps to the back of the seat.
My favorite, fits in the cupholder and lasts all day
Electronics
Absolutely essential. I currently have the 11 inch Pro. I use it in my sessions and its easier to carrier around compared to a laptop for notes and paperwork throughout the day.
This is AMAZING. It allows you to use your iPad just like a laptop.
I love this one because you can charge all your devices, you know for those times your taking a break in Starbucks without an outlet
Other Fun Stuff
I clip lesson plans and checklists for my day to the front, it always sits in my bag
I organize seasonal activities in these folders. Then when the season is over I place them in a bin in my closet.
One of my most recent purchases. I use this for written cues during activities with older kiddos as a way to begin to fade verbal cues.
Dakota Neoprene Backpack (Large)
A splurge, but this is the bag I carry with me all day. Its clean and professional looking, durable and can hold all of my things without looking overstuffed
